Laboratory Tests at Care Animal Hospital

At Care Animal Hospital, we are able to perform a variety of diagnostic tests on site. We have Certified Veterinary Technicans who are skilled at completing the following tests:

• We use fecal tests to look for parasites and bacteria that can cause health problems for you and your pet.
• We use urinalyses to test for kidney problems, crystals in the bladder or kidneys, and signs of infection.
• We perform blood panels to screen for organ dysfunction and infection in the body. Depending on your pet's needs, we may run the blood panel in our laboratory or send it to an outside laboratory. In emergency cases, we will use our lab machines and technicians to provide rapid results.

Our doctors are able to examine mass aspirates to look for signs of malignant (cancerous) growth in the body. This procedure involves sampling the cells of the mass with a small needle and examining them microscopically.
