Rowdy Relief Fund. The Rowdy Relief Fund

The Rowdy Relief Fund started by Dr. Gilbert in 2013. It is a 501(c)3 Non-Profit that provides funds to deserving owners, in need, so they can afford the veterinary care necessary for the long term survival and well being of their pets. All recipients are then asked to volunteer a proportionate number of hours in their community.

Care for Strays

Since 1988, Care Animal Hospital's doctors have volunteered their time for animals without owners. In order to provide additional medical care for homeless pets, the hospital started the Care for Strays fund in December of 1997. This fund allows us to offer medical and surgical care for animals that otherwise would not be treated. The funds are used to provide examinations, vaccinations, blood tests, surgeries, dental cleanings, emergency care, and food. Following their recovery, suitable homes are found for these animals.

You can support stray animal care by donating to the Care For Strays fund by clicking here. Since Care For Strays is a 501-c3 organization, your donations are tax-deductible!

Community Involvement

At Care Animal Hospital, we support a variety of community projects and fundraisers!

  • Over the years, Care Animal Hospital employees have raised money for breast cancer and multiple sclerosis research by participating in the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure, MS-150 Bike Ride, and Avon Walk for Breast Cancer.
  • We support several local animal shelters by providing free exams to adoptees.
  • We care for and help adopt cats and kittens on behalf of Lucky Paws Rescue. (Are you interested in adopting a cat or a kitten? We always either have kittens around the hospital or know of kittens in foster care!).
  • Have you ever been to a dog swim? Care Animal Hospital supports Arvada's annual neighborhood dog swim and you're welcome to join us next summer.
