Lori Miller, Client Care Manager
Lori's human family

Hello friends of Care Animal Hospital!  I'm Lori, a Client Care Manager here at the hospital, and this is my family:  Greg, my husband, our daughter Carson, son Cameron, and of course, our four-legged "kids" Sam and Hooper.

Sam is an 8 year old female Jack Russell Terrier (or as we like to call her, our Jack Russell Terror).  We've had her since she was a pup, and some days we wonder if she will EVER grow out of her puppy stage.  She definitely makes up for her small size with a large dose of attitude.  Her fearlessness has gotten her into a pickle more than a time or two in her life.  And, she's as speedy as she is bossy.  She has won first place each year we've entered her in the Greyhound Rescue's "Hound Dawg Derby" at Mile High Greyhound Park.

Hooper Hooper is the newest addition to our family.  She is, to our best estimation, a 1 year old Border Collie Mix.  She was found in an abandoned house having been left alone after the owners moved out.  Aside from being undernourished and quite dirty, she was in pretty good shape.

Greg, who was given the honors of naming her, chose Hooper because he said her spunk reminded him of his favorite movie character of the same name (a long forgotten movie about a stunt man played by Burt Reynolds, in case you're curious).  Given her circumstances, we are amazed at how gentle, trusting, and obedient she is.  She loves riding in the car, going to the dog park, and sneaking into the kids' beds after they've fallen asleep at night.
