Mandy and Goose

I grew up in a military family, living in both the United States and spending 11 years in Germany.  I attended Colorado State University for my undergraduate studies, then moved on to the University of Missouri for veterinary school.  Around second grade is when I knew I wanted to spend my life around animals and their wonderful owners!  My special interests include ophthalmology and oncology.  I started here at Care in July of 2005.

That's me...enjoying the great outdoors!

Outside of Care Animal Hospital, I enjoy any outdoor activity.  I especially enjoy hiking, snowboarding, and running.  My newest endeavor is competing in triathlons.  Someday, I also hope to do a marathon!

The Odd Couple

My collection of critters includes my Boston Terrier, Goose, a true terrier at heart.  He is my little "General," full of spunk and love.  I also have Shanay-nay, a 3-year old black cat that I rescued from a previous place of employment.  Shanay-nay had eaten a string (her second offense) and needed surgery.  The owners allowed me to do the surgery and keep her!  She is a sweetheart and loves to be chased around by Goose.  And finally, my family includes two rats by the names of Frank and George.  I have come to learn that rats make great pets!
