Hi, I am Marla, one of the technicians here at Care.  I started in May 2001.  I am a graduate of Bel-Rea.

Ever since I can remember I wanted to work with animals.  But after high school I ended up getting a degree in accounting.  While my children were still young I ran a Day Care and preschool in my home.  Once they were all in school full time, I went back to school to get up to speed on the accounting programs.  But, then I met my husband and he told me if I wanted to work with animals, that's what I should do.  So I went to Bel-Rea.  And I love my job!

Craig and I have been married for 7 years, this past Valentine's Day.  We have three teenage children, a daughter out of school, one son graduating from high school this year, and the youngest one will be getting his driver's license in a couple of months.  We have 9 furry children.  We have 3 dogs - 2 young labs and a puppy.  We have 6 cats - a 3-legged cat, one with asthma, one with food allergies, a crabby but sweet 14-year old one, a scaredy cat and a beautiful Birman Seal Point who knows it.  Finally we have 2 budgies.  You could say I live in a real zoo.

Here at Care along with my technician duties, I am a receptionist, and help the doctors in the exam rooms.  I help run the Puppy Kindergarten, work with clients on behavior issues, and order all the fun toys.
