Dr. Kali Fox
Dr. Kali Fox got in to veterinary medicine to improve the lives of animals. Her father created a love of medicine and inspired her to join the medical field. By choosing the path of veterinarian, she could merge the love of animals with improving the quality of life they live through advanced medical practices. She went to Kansas State to get her degree and has been loving her career choice ever since. The best part of her job is all the geriatric animals that she sees. Being able to improve their quality of life so they can have more time with their loved ones is the most rewarding aspect of the job. Coming from an emergency hospital, the thing she is most excited for in joining the Care Animal Family is preventative medicine and getting to build lifelong relationships with her patients and their human family.
In her free time, Dr. Fox enjoys going fishing and boating. Her favorite childhood memory is when she went to Grand Teton National Park with her grandfather to fish. She also draws and paints, when the weather encourages indoor activities. She loves the Rockies and can often be found at Coors Field rooting them on. Her go-to TV show binge is Supernatural and her favorite movie is the Borne Identity. When listening to music, her playlist includes rock or country, primarily.
As a kid, her favorite animal was the tiger. Now as adult, she finds the cheetah to be much more appealing. As patients, however, she much prefers dogs and gets especially excited for the reptiles that come her way. Over the course of her veterinary career, she got to draw blood and run anesthesia for a Asian Small Clawed Otter and a Red Panda! And if she’s not hiking, fishing, boating, or watching a Rockie’s game, she volunteers at the zoo and gets to work with their elephants.
