Dr. Megan Gorden
Dr. Megan Gorden
Dr. Gorden knew that she wanted to become a veterinarian for as long as she can remember. Growing up, she never played with dolls, only stuffed animals, and they were all carefully doctored and tucked in each night. Later in life, she helped care for the family’s diabetic dog, and this helped solidify her call to care for animals. Her passions lie in internal medicine, nutrition, exotics, and pain management. She is certified in acupuncture and many of our elderly patients have been greatly benefitted from this relief.
Dr. Gorden graduated from Colorado State University with her DVM in 2013. Since then, she has been practicing mixed animal medicine on the plains of Colorado, treating a variety of animals, but specializing in small animals and alpacas. Prior to attending veterinary school, she was a registered nurse. Her background in practicing human medicine has given her a special bond working with both her human clients and animal patients.
When Dr. Gorden isn’t treating her patients, she can be found wandering through museums, reading history books and historical fiction, baking cookies (requests are welcome!), hiking with her dog, and volunteering. She is owned by an amazing Golden Retriever, named Hamilton Sandwich, (Ham Sammy to his friends, which is everyone), and is a fan of anything glittery or sparkly.
